ACCESS and ALEX

I believe that educational tools such as ACCESS and ALEX bring technology and invaluable resources to the classroom. ACCESS allows students to have a broad range of subjects to study and also allows students interactions with diverse cultures from around the world. ALEX allows teachers and parents easy access to resources to enhance learning skills. It provides lessons and worksheets that can help students improve their skills in particular areas. These should be used nationwide.

Podcasting

Podcasting is a great tool for all teachers of every grade level and field. Podcasting allows students who are sick or out of town not to fall behind. It could also help serve as a way to review for exams that way everyone knows what to expect on the exam. Podcasting could also be used to teach students about technology and about subject matters. Students could research topics and present them via podcast which allows fun, social interaction, and knowledge to be brought into the classroom at one time.

Google Tools

I love google tools and want to bring them into the classroom. Google tools are great because they are free. This would be helpful in a classroom where not all of the students could afford expense software. Google docs is my favorite tool. It also users to send and receive documents fast and without hassle given that people have different versions of Word or have a Mac versus a PC. I also like Blogger. This tool allows me to stay in touch with my class and also gets them more in touch with technology. I think all teachers should become familiar with the many things Google has to offer education.

My teaching philosophy!

I believe that as a teacher I should help my students use technology to advance their education. As an elementary education teacher, I am able to shape minds greatly. What I say to my students will last forever. I want to be the teacher that makes an impact. I want all of my students to believe that they can achieve anything just as long as they set their mind to it.
